Brisingr

Brisingr is the third book in the Inheritance Cycle Series. This (wonderful) series is by the author Christopher Paolini. Following the books of the series ( The first being Eragon, the second being Eldest) this book shows the same amount of drama, suspense, and excitement as the other books coming before it. My favorite character was both Roran and Eragon, because not only were they the main characters and good-doers, but they have special character traits that I like about them. The character traits that I really liked about Eragon was that he always made good and merciful choices and that he always tried to keep every promise and oath he made. The traits that I liked about Roran were that he always tried to help those who he lovedI. also liked that he was willing to do ANYTHING for his men, such was his kindness.

My favorite part was when Eragon used his new sword, Brisingr (which burst into a really powerful flame whenever Eragon said it), at the siege of a city that the Varden (rebel group of people who want to destroy an evil king) need to overtake. In this exciting part Eragon uses his sword and blows up a magical gate. By doing this he helps win the battle and they storm the castle. When they go inside the fortress, Eragon and his Elf Friend Arya must defeat a powerful enemy called a shade. They succeed only by working together and the Varden win the big battle.

This book would be great for readers who love adventures, excitement, battles, and quests. The only thing that I didn’t like about this was that it made the parts a little bit confusing because it skipped back and forth between 2 places happening at the same time. This made it a little hard to follow the plot, so I didn’t like it a bit. Otherwise, there was nothing else that was bad in this book. I would recommend this book for 10 years old people and older, because there are a LOT of pages inside. I give this great book 5 out of 5 stars.
