The Inheritance Cycle Series is a very good series by Christopher Paolini. The first book in this series is Eragon, and the second book is Eldest.

I thought that this was a good book because I really like dragons and magic, so I thought that this series was great for me. This series is about the mystical land of Alagaesia and its tyrant king, Galbatorix, fighting the Varden for control of the land. The Varden are sick of Galbatorix, so they want to overthrow him and free Alagaesia from his evil rule. However, they cannot beat him throw magic, and they can’t fight him with magic, either.

Galbatorix is a Dragon Rider and is highly skilled with all different kinds of magic. Eragon, the hero, is this world’s most recent rider, and the only hope the Varden has of defeating Galbatorix. Together he and Saphira, his dragon, help the Varden in order to free Alagaesia of Galbatorix and his evil. In Eragon, the first book of this series, Eragon finds himself a rider and trains to be one. He fights a large battle against Galbatorix’s evil army and their evil leader, the Shade Durza. With his dragon’s and an elf’s help, he destroyed Durza while the Shade was distracted.

I loved many parts in this book, but my two favorite parts were when Eragon was training to become a better rider with the elves secret Dragon Rider, Oromis. My second favorite part was when the battle at the end of then book happened. The armies of the Varden, lead by Nasuada, were fighting against the hundred thousand soldiers of Galbatorix’s armies. I liked the part when Eragon was training because it was very descriptive and had a lot of details. I liked the part when the battle happened because it was very interesting, and it was pretty much the most interesting thing that happened in this book and this was the part when Ergon fights his first fight against the newest rider, Murtagh, and his new Dragon, Thorn.

Eragon and Murtagh fight a huge fight, and Murtagh wins, and he takes Zar’roc, which was Murtagh’s father’s sword, as his prize. He spares Eragon, and then returns to Galbatorix. Those are my two favorite parts in this book. My favorite character in this book was Eragon, because of his special character traits. I liked him because he had a good sense of justice, his sense of right and wrong, and his care for his family. I rate this excellent: 5 out of 5 stars!
